Going Home #1
What is worse for a photographer? Is it being rejected completely or is it being told you’re good, just not good enough? I was recently invited to submit works to be a part of a local art exhibit and both things happened to me. One member of the selection committee was very enthusiastic for me; the others weren’t apparently. I went to the opening day and I saw on the walls many of the artists had several selections. Only one of my photos made it. And my pic was placed in the worst possible place to be seen; way in the back, towards the end, and with little lighting. My friends and family were upset. I wasn’t going to lose my cool. I smiled and held in any pride I might have in myself and accepted that this is what one has to go through as an artist. Rejection is something that any serious artist has to be able to endure. I say this because even though my pic was selected it certainly felt like a rejection. A few days later I found out my work was called a bad word. #blancoynegro

Home Brewing-
Fermentation in action. The bubbling indicates the yeast is actively consuming and converting sugars into alcohol and CO2. It’s a beautiful thing
It’s been a while since I’ve uploaded some of my pix. Here’s some of the current stuff I’m working on.
